It’s performers like “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan who help to make the pro wrestling industry what it is.  The “meat and potatoes” of sports entertainment, if you will.  Hacksaw exemplifies a wrestler who was loved and cheered by the fans, could be great heroes against the main event villains, but weren’t necessarily “main event” level themselves.  People who carried the undercard, but made the people care regardless of whether it was the first match of the night or the last one.  Jim Duggan was nothing if not a patriot, a pioneer as wrestling reemerged back into the mainstream in the ’80s, and a passionate fan-favorite who had a great time doing what he loved and made fans like me feel like they got their moneys worth!

Congratulations to “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan on being inducted this year into the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2011!!
